I have an iPhone 11 Pro, I upgraded for really none of those reasons mentioned in this video. Do you want to know what I upgraded for?
Better handling of the cellular signal, especially in low-signal areas. The iPhone 11 series used an Intel modem chip and honestly, it sucks. The iPhone 13, however, uses a Qualcomm provided modem chip and just about everyone knows that Qualcomm makes the best cellular modem chips in the world.

Styles should offer mimicking of traditional film stock! Give me my Kodachrome! Or FujiColor palette for color and even B&W offerings like Panatomic-X or even Tri-X with the grain look! Or even Cibachrome and ilford!

Digital camera’s have lost the subtleties of what traditional film looks like as it’s not so linear.

Kodachrome was more vibrant! and the contrasteness with B&W stock likewise is different than what many sensors can pick up. Many pro’s take the filter plate out of their digital cameras just to enhance it for their B&W work!

Cinematic Mode is the game-changer this year for mobile videography. It is the first iteration of machine learning that bridges the gap between amateur videos to *potential* movies being filmed… FROM A PHONE. It’s not perfect and still needs work but it’s definitely a MASSIVE step in the right direction! 💪🏻

Is no one going to say anything about how bad the face detection is on the prores vids are? All of the vids I’ve seen seem to blur part of the object/fave as well and it looks so bad. Just me?

Better battery, better cameras with Macro and better zoom, 120 refresh. Sold. Probably won’t use the cinematic mode but looks good it not perfect yet.

That’s great, but how are you going to transfer the ProRes 4:2:2 video out from the phone? Especially given the relative slowness of the Lightning connection, which I believe is still limited to USB 2.0 speeds to 480 megabits/second?
