I just love, LOVE the mini in black. I love it so much I procrastinated for 4 days on buying a new iPhone 13. Ended up buying the Small Pro. I know I will be getting a mini later.

It would be nice to know all this before pre order. Apple should let y’all get the product, and put these out on pre order day. Maybe even day before, which is still multiple days after their keynote.

If I could summarize the camera upgrades: the 13 and 13 mini essentially have the wide and ultrawide from the 12 Pro Max while the 13 Pros get the new camera tech (slightly faster aperture and larger sensor for wide, faster aperture and AF for the ultrawide, longer focal tele).

Excellent review Rene Ritchie! The video portions, while I know this wasn’t a deep dive into video functionality, was really disappointing looking (cinematic mode exempt). I’ll be comparing my 13 Pro (Sierra Blue!) video quality to my 11 Pro Max and Sony a7III this Friday.

Why they didn’t fix the “smudgy/digital look/over-sharpening” around the edges that was iphone 12 photos with the hdr 4 in the 13 pro since there are larger pixels & aperture?!!

I think to this date this was the most underwhelming and most boring iphone ever.. it’s basically an iphone 12S.. and that focus pull function is going to be forgotten in the next 10 minutes after you get this phone.. just like the aperture function in portrait mode. Apple was really desperate to look as if they have something new but they didn’t.. lol Oh also the focus racking is available only in HD if I remember correctly, which basically is totally useless, I don’t really see who is going to use that function, normal people don’t care at all and they won’t even know that they have that function and of course content creators and videographers have much better gear than just some iphone.

They really need to start making a massive different between the pro and regular series. Add the usbc to the pros and that’s it. Truly make the pro phones for those who are more tech savvy and the regular for those who just want an iPhone and don’t care about all that junk. Apple is so confusing with some of their choices

Your skin Color looks a lot more natural on your Canon camera than on the iPhone as you look a bit cartoonist on the iPhone Ultra Wide.

Was planning on holding onto my XS for another year… then all of a sudden woke up to a cracking back glass from battery bulge… guess my plan didn’t sit well with the Apple Gods.
