This Pro Motion 120Hz is NOT the same as having a 120Hz display. The display still only refreshes at 60Hz. Unless you’re watching a video that needs refreshed 120 times per second. 60Hz will be on or even less. 120Hz only comes on during videos and only when 120Hz is needed. 120Hz doesn’t work in games so forget about that.

Got a pristine used iphone 8 cheap, put in a $15 +10% capacity battery myself, just updated it to iOS 15. Other than the poor camera, I’ve got the modern iphone experience for my use case. Saved a thousand bucks. If I know I’m gonna take pictures I carry a Pixel 3. I think a lot of smartphone functionality has plateaued. The weak link on older phones isn’t so much software updates anymore, but battery longevity.

Great video. These phones are beautiful, powerful computers. I don’t believe Apple is going through the Lighting port PR nightmare and iPhone sales loss, because Lighting cables bring in bazillions. I think it’s either the fear of a repeat customer reaction when they changed from 30 pin to Lightning or too much confusion over the usb-c naming. I know battery overcharge protection exist in modern devices, but I still believe Apple cringes imaging that 100w usb-c 4 charger plugged into an iPhone. I live in a 4 seasons state. Fingerprint scanner is a real pain in the ass during winter months, those “special” gloves last about a week. Hopefully, technology will eliminate the barrier clothing presents to both.

Look I get the disappointment that people feel towards the lightning port but, lightning isn’t going any where. It has too big of a market for apple to just subtract it from the great “iPhone Formula”. It would be too much of a change for average consumers. Apple removing the the charging brick from the box is still an issue for consumers imagine the outrage if apple just switched to USBC just 1 YEAR later. I predict that apple isn’t gonna switch to USBC until they go portless because it’s classic a “Apple move”.

“most mainstream customers have a tonne of lightning accessories”… Do they? I have been mostly wireless since the iPhone 7 ditched the jack. My only lightning accessories in my household are our iPhones’ charging cables and a single lightning to AUX cable in the car so I can use my car’s speakers. For everything else, there’s bluetooth. What accessories are people plugging into their lightning ports?

What? The battery life on the 12 Pro Max was incredible, next time just say a knock was on the mini because it’s super smol. also that cinematic mode focusing looked really bad with your family lol nice family, not knocking them, just the mode lol

I’m getting the 13 Pro Max because why not with the almost 800 trade in value of the 12 Pro Max but why is Apple incapable of doing a super zoom like the S21 Ultra? My wife has it and it has been amazing when we go to Red Rocks and have to sit higher than row 30, if it is a PRO line, it should have all of the best technology available. Also, still 20w charging? Give us at least 30w! And the cinematic mode is a gimmick but hopefully with a 1 inch sensor one day, it would be better to film all of the time on the iPhone, especially in low light.

I agree Ritchie with enjoying the Hell out of your current device, which for me is the 12 Pro Max in Pacific Blue. However, I got an outrageous trade in offer of $1,000 for my iPhone!! That’s the only reason I decided to upgrade to the 13 Pro Max in Silver, otherwise I would have rocked it out man! Great video as always and on point advice at the end 💯👍🏾
