Hey Rene as a 12 mini user, for who even 6.1” is too big, do you think it’s worth getting a 13 mini later this year or next, so that I can death grip it for 3-4 years until Apple releases a decent SE replacement? Also how does the new deeper notch affect the 13 mini when watching 18X9 video?

Daaaamn. Took a hit on us Fujifilm users. Lol.

The telephoto getting a 77mm lens (or the 3x punch in) is awesome, but I purchased the 12 Pro mainly for the telephoto. Now that it’s an f2.8, I feel it’s a slight downgrade for me in particular. The 3x is great, but the loss of light is a disappointment. Luckily I’m waiting till the 15 or 16, so I’m sure they’ll have much better cameras by then. Hopefully they’ll go from a 12mp to maybe a 20mp. We don’t need a 108mp camera with a sensor that small.

The rack focus stuff in cinema mode is silly and looks awful. The fact that it actually doesn’t work at higher resolutions means it isn’t actually useful for anyone who could theoretically use it. Very good that you can fix it in post because it always gets it wrong.

In all the reviews, Cinematic Mode footage looks like complete trash, to be honest.
I’m still excited for the new camera system, but I don’t think I’ll ever be using Cinematic mode. It just looks way too bad. For now.

Cinematic mode sure just doesn’t look good. Even in the Apple Keynote with the best case professional lighting and all that it was noticeable but in users hands it definitely doesn’t look good, probably needs many more years of hardware improvements to do so.
