If you maximize your ipad not only for not just gaming, you”ll realize at certain point macbook couldnt replace ipad. I use ipad as a second monitor for my laptop, use it as kindle reader, as netflix media player, as workout videos player (imagine could your ipad used in portrait when you get down on the floor), as notetaking tools, as webcam conference calls (easier to boot up), or even just to use it on the toilet.

I have an HP PAVILION GAMING laptop – 15cs 144tx. 8th Gen i7-8750H/8GB/128GB SSD + 1TB HDD/NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti 4GB Graphics/Win 10/MS Office 2016. It has been working great till now. I’ve been using it rigorously for about 3 years now. Given that I am a Computer Science undergrad and that I want to buy a secondary device in addition to my main laptop mentioned above, should I buy a MacBook Air M1 or should I go for the newest iPad Air with the apple pencil and the magic keyboard accessories ???

Don’t get ipad pro… I’ve had multiple models (replaced by apple) and they kept having various screen defects like one side of the screen being slightly darker..
