The Cinebench marks are ridiculously low, considering the competition (W9-3495X) is 3 times as fast🙃
The $8K Mac Pro is not even as fast as an AMD R9 7945HX🤔, a laptop CPU

I’m sorry dude but how is that good design nothing can be pulled out of it nothing can be added to it it’s just terrible terrible computer I don’t know what the fascination is with something that you can’t upgrade can’t do anything with that it’s all proprietary lockdown and unrepairable I’m just really fascinated why everyone has such a hardon for Apple products

Apple should have included a big coffee table book with glamour photos of Mac Pro; it would certainly fit in box. Maybe for M3 version, it’ll have an exclusive M-chip with merged 4x Max (Ultra x2). This version is a public compatibility test bed for built-in third-party PCIe hardware and drivers, for customers who need that functionality. Mac Pro will be the ultimate performance Mac again.

It has 2 SATA 3 ports. That’s something. Also those PCI express slot could potentially fit some super fast storage if you’re doing 16K video footage on day

It is honestly a huge disappointment that they went from 2019 Apple apologizing for what they did in 2013 Mac Pro, and then they went backwards for the pros and basically said screw you!

The processor at the VERY least should have also been upgradable. They also should have designed a new chip that was NOT a SoC and make their own dedicated graphics processor.

Would the Mac Studio be faster? Possibly. But they didn’t do this. And it’s sad.

And keeping the case is also a big slap in the face. Reminding the “pro’s” what they had. Literally every time they look at their computer.

I’d buy mine with wheels so I can wheel it down a hill and watch it BURN

Man luke, I love you channel but you missed on this review.

as a software engineer that interacts with a team of many different professions related to my field. everyone is ready for this mac at my place.

Those PCIE card slots are what alot of professionals have been waiting for. you went this entire review without testing any PCIE cards.

Cache redesign… things like that impact performance greatly yet they don’t show up in benchmark results, which makes benchmarks only “reviews” useless. M2 micro architecture is a significant upgrade over m1, processor core allocations and utilization is much much better, that also mixed the bottleneck issue with the m1 ultra.
