I have an S23 ultra and an iPhone 13 mini (the apple ecosystem is tough to break up with). The flip was ideal in a few ways for me and the Samsung promos are crazy, but there were a lot of compromises, mainly battery life, no screen crease, reduced charging speed etc. Also, I had preordered the yellow one and was bummed that the IMEI number was on it but I should have thought of that earlier! After about two days of use, that was enough to tell me the outside screen was a gimmick as much as the S-pen is for my ultra. Nice to have, it’s better than nothing lol. Also the constant flipping—well, the novelty wore off for me already.

Got the Fold 5 yesterday as my first Foldable. Great device and Im confident with the incremental durability of this 5th gen device. Oh, and the new s pen case is a must…great protection and not bulky at all.

I don’t feel that having to open the phone to use it was a problem. It was a feature so I use my phone less. If you wanna use your phone without opening just get a small. Candybar style. I’m not into the huge outside screen.
