Honestly I would probably own one if I had to, (personally I’m not the biggest fan of evs) while I don’t think electric trucks are the future when it come to trucks (mainly the towing part but for rn batteries aren’t the best for that), I would definitely own one tho.

With me being an outdoorsy guy who may (or may not) be interested in buying one of these in the future, how does it hold up in off-roading? Is there a 4-wheel drive package? Are we going to see “highway princess” versions of this truck soon (people lifting them, putting huge mud tires, etc.)? Since im from Texas, and people around me (and sometimes myself included) kind of despise the idea of an electric vehicle, but if these gas prices continue to rise where i would be paying $100 to fill my HONDA ACCORD (yes, i drive a small Honda and i am currently paying $65-$70 at the pump for a full tank of gas), i May jump on the EV bandwagon, but I need a truck that can do most of the things my old F-250 diesel did (because that truck was amazing considering that it was a ford).

You forgot to mention that most every dealership getting these is adjusting the market price by up to 200% and a towing range of about 100-150 miles… Range on the standard lightning is 230mi per charge and can’t tow anything more than 7,700lbs with a range of no more than 100mi, while the extended range model gets 300mi per charge and can tow up to 10,000lbs again for 100-150mi. Why do people think these are viable again? We’re talking an MSRP of around $95k with street prices ranging from $110k – $160k/$180k… and you couldn’t even drive half way across the state of Texas before stopping four times to charge your batteries. Not to mention it ONLY takes roughly 8 hours to charge from 15% to 100% per Ford!!! Good luck with that R/C truck…
