What a lot of current truck owners will want to know is, can you customize it? That’s a big part of owning a truck. Lifting, leveling, new wheels and tires etc.
Also, there will be a segment of the truck owners population that doesn’t like less noise. Truck owners consistently upgrade their exhaust to be louder or sound deeper than factory.
All that being said, if you can pull up to a work site and power your whole job off your truck while chilling your drinks on ice in the frunk, and on top of that be able to go faster and tow more AND pay less per mile. Well, that’s the ballgame.

I think the biggest draw back is the range. I drive a 2014 F-150 and it has around a 580 mile range with a 35 gallon tank. It’s super nice for when I’m hauling a camper or boat because that will drop your range by about half. With the lightening, that would be like getting 140 miles of range, which would really limit road trips. Love this truck though and could totally see myself owning one in the future!
