If I were buying an F-150 I’d likely go the full hybrid option (with the 7.2Kw power system), and definitely not the Lightning. It’ll be a great truck for many people, but I live in a semi-rural area in the PacNW, and charging stations aren’t super common around here. For example, in my town there are maybe 2 or 3 destination chargers, and that’s it. Secondly, I will never think that 20 or so minutes to go from 20% to 80% charge is acceptable in any way.

The Lightning just seems so well designed in so many different aspects. The fact that a company with the footprint of Ford appears to have nailed it this early could be big for EV adoption. Hopefully that spurs some renewable energy investments.
