Until the pricing of EV’s comes down to an affordable level for a large swath of the driving public the numbers will remain low. It’s kind of like the chicken or the egg discussion. If prices come down more people would buy, but if more people would buy now prices would come down. For me, logic says prices have to come down first for EV’s to become common.

If I was in construction this would definitely be the truck I would go for. It is a mobile work platform ( office in the cab and construction in the bed ) that can also power your house when you need it to. Chapeau to Ford on this one, it really outshines it’s competition in all but looks. The only thing negative I can say about it is that the price is TGH. If Ford could bring this in at around 40 to 50K for a well appointed base model, they would have no competition at all. 90K is just too steep a price for all but the most wealthy of GC’s even with the reduced fuel and maintenance costs.

Ford is knocking it out of the park. An electric F150 is too rich and large for my blood, but I am seriously looking into a Ford Maverick. It’s a compact pick-up that is sold with gas or hybrid. I’m buying the hybrid, God willing. Only thing is that I have to wait on the vehicle to be shipped from Ford Manufacturing, which may be monthsssss away.

Car may have impressive tech in them but they are Primarily cars. Most people by them because the have wheels not some huge screen and impressive software. That being said, I’d rather tech reviewers review the tech (screens, software, may be autonomous driving) and leave the actual car reviewing to the actual car reviewers like Doug and carwow cuz they do it way better than the likes of mkbhd and inbox therapy.

I’ve been driving the same F-150 since high school. If I had the finacial means, I would definitely be upgrading to this vehicle. Hopefully my F-150 holds out until then
