First of all, let me say that I’m really jazzed that American car companies are killing it with EVs these days. I think Ford has found the right formula — just enough like a “real truck” and just enough like an EV. They’ll do the same with cars too.

I saw an electric F150 the other day in Conway Arkansas. It drove by and it looked like a completely normal F150 except it was making an electric whirring noise instead of an engine sound. I didn’t even realize that they were able to sell F1 50s already

im pretty sure you got it wrong. people wait for a new phone every year, but wait for 10 to 20 years to buy a new car or truck, or at least until it breaks down past a point of buying a new/used vehical over paying repair costs.

Only complaint is the useless center console and shifter. It’s not physically connected to anything and seems overly complicated. My 2004 F150 has a front bench seat and the shifter is on the steering column. The front center seat folds down into a large compartment with cupholders, so I can still get the versatility or a 6th passenger. SMH

But why did they make it ugly? I love the look of gas F150s both this generation and the last and I was excited when I heard they were making an electric version but the new Lightning just looks awful imo. Also no Supercab or Regular cab option with a 6.5′ box is a major deal breaker for me.

The power inverter to power the home is HUGE. To use this battery coupled with solar panels…. is HUGE. Is crazy that Tesla from all of them haven’t done it yet. Hopefully they will get to it. So far, this inverter, the multiple regular outlets, specially in the frunk, makes me want this truck more and more.

Yeah except having owned Fomoco products even working at a dealership and seeing the lack of quality. I see no difference, matter of fact expect worse issues as they have never been good with electric issues. 3rd E-Stang I saw was broken down on the interstate.

I reverse into parking spaces so I can leave them facing forward. But it means my hatchback is harder to get to for grocery shopping. The huge 400 litre trunk on this truck is easily accessible, so ideal for reversing into a parking space.
