I would love to see how well the lighting could cope with abnormally rugged terrain, really put this thing through its paces and see how it performs compared to its petrol counterpart.

You sir are very lucky. I’ll be lucky to buy one of these in 10 years. Even if they ramp up production to 150k units per year, that’s not even a million trucks and the market will stay in high demand even with numerous other electric vehicle manufacturers contributing to the market. The truck seems like the least efficient way to commute electrically but it’s a luxury that adds confidence to your life and that’s going to make it impossible for a chunk of society to experience the electric truck for many years to come. I’m sure it’s probably not a life changing experience but I certainly want one either way. lol

I work at a Ford dealership as a detailer and I’m surprised that I haven’t seen one of these trucks yet. I will probably see them soon though. They are expensive though.

As someone who just bought a 2022 F-150 I agree with everything in this video. I would have bought a lighting if it wasn’t for two things.

1. The insurance is sky high (at least for me)
2. I don’t have a way to charge it at my house without spending a lot of money on an electrician.

If the pricing doesn’t go sideways, this will be the go to truck for a lot of RV’ers. If you can run your house on it for days, you can probably run your RV on it for weeks.

The most impressive part about this truck is the massive battery Bank. Ford selling the ability to power your home is completely game changing for the off-grid remote vacation home. Imagine having a cabin by a lake and staying the weekend entirely powered by your vehicle that you arrived in. No grid, no permits, no power company.
