The cost per mile might be cheaper but the overall cost to own definitely isn’t.

I played around with the numbers a bit. I compared different trims and options and the electric version ends up being about $25,000 more than the gas version on average. The electric version costs 8.6 cents/mile to run. The gas version with an MPG of about 22MPG even at California gas prices of about $6.75/gal is about 30.6 cents/mile. While that certainly is much more expensive per mile it would still take 115,000 miles just to break even because of the much higher initial price.

People try and make it seem like electric cars are cheaper to own because the cost per mile to drive is cheaper. It’s very misleading.

Very nice and capable truck. Unfortunately the price tag makes it unobtainable for most people, which I know is the case when any new tech comes out. Just hope in 5-10 years it will be affordable

Can’t stand having A/C controls on a touchscreen. Physical buttons and knobs are better so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road. Other than that it’s a nice truck. Don’t really like the grill either though

Debs husband asks if someone could explain to me how this works? Some people are spending more money on gas than ever and are having to prioritize their spending between gas,food, housing, and other expenses so the solution is to go out and buy a $90,000 truck? If people are already struggling just where does the $90,000 come from?
