Only 85 MPGe? That thing requires a battery twice the size of my bolt! You could literally build two small cars rather than one of these. The environment is fucked if we don’t start 1. buying smaller cars 2. invest in public transit so we don’t have to drive as much. The road wear of these heavier batteries is insane, too. I grew up on a farm where we actually NEEDED pickups and let me tell you, 99% of people who buy an F-150 don’t need an F-150.

The only issue with the f150 lightning it is sold out for the next 4 years and if you account for how many f150s sell in a total they sold out for 15 years. The run rates are so low it is irrelevant as an option for most. People will be forced to try something else. Ford and the entire battery industry will have to be 50x to accommodate everyone. I hope Ford gets supply chains together to fix this major flaw in the market

I genuinely think Ford killed it with this one. I’m not a truck guy but it gives a lot of utility for a vehicle. If I was in the market for a truck, it would be this.
