I love my pair. I mostly use them with my BT headphones to get a personal theater experience for Netflix when I’m on a plane.
We really need to figure out the cable problem and a solution, NReal practically copied Google Glass with a glass prism and a ruby coding platform with C++
Matter would be great addition to SmartGlasses
I’m 8 seconds in. Maybe they’ll cover it. The company has renamed and “Nreal” doesn’t exist anymore.
Edit- Nope. They showed amazon pages that display the new name, but he never mentioned that Nreal doesn’t exist anymore.
I sure wish he had spent more than 5 seconds on what the glasses are like to work on. How are they after 2-4 hours? How are they after 6-10 hours? Is this a realistic monitor replacement.
He shows the size of the virtual screen. And, to my eyes it looks to be about 16 inches. But, it’s taking up nearly all of his field of view so it would appear to be huge. But, as far as demonstrating how big the screen is, that is very unclear.
Also, when Xreal talks about this they always talk about the virtual screen size (it’s something like 107 inches or whatever though this changes based on what you’ve got it connected to.
I wish he had spoke about what these are like to use with glasses. I hear that’s an issue for people who wear glasses.
With smartphones the dongle life issues happens only with iphones. I find it unbelievable that as a reviewer you end up blaming the Glasses for IOS shortcomings…👎
Your videos always make me feel motivated.
NGL, the nreal glasses, got me hyped, and I was planning to get one until Apple announced their Vision Pro. Yes, the nreal, now called the XREAL, is cheap and light. However, the Vision Pro offered what I wanted in an AR/VR headset. It will also fit perfectly in my Apple ecosystem. XREAL will still be my second option for AR/VR experiences despite it not being either in an ideal situation.
All the reviews I’ve seen have been exact but this guy sucked .
I wonder if the nreal glasses would work when attached to the backbone controller when playing games. Basically plugging in my wired headphones to the backbone controller and the nreal glasses to the backbone controller from the usb c port. The display would be large than my phone but my phones display is way sharper and way brighter than the nreal glasses since I have the sony xperia 1 iv android phone. I wonder if it’s possible to pass thru the audio from the headphone jack from my sony xperia 1 iv to the nreal glasses than the nreal glasses plugged into the usb c port on my sony xperia 1 iv. Basically plugging in my sennheiser hd 600 from the headphone jack to my sony xperia 1 iv and than the usb c port from the nreal glasses to the usb c port on my sony xperia 1 iv. My sony xperia 1 iv supports audio and video from the usb c port.
I got them, usfortunatly your head has to stay still, which is imposible since we are use to move our head all the time to see better the corners of a screen, now, I pre-order the beam device, that is going to be revolutionary,.
You failed to mention it has NO motion sensor, so the image moves whenever you move your head instead of remaining in the same spot.
Tried these last week & wasn’t impressed. Heavy (even w/o a battery) & got motion sickness fast. Not worth it
I forsee many companies bringing similar products like this. This is fantastic for the price. I feel products like these will significantly reduce the demand for the Apple Vision pro.
Is it just me or he sounds a lot like @mkbhd????
Heres the problem with that: I wear glasses.
Thanks for the unbiased review!
However, given when this video is coming out, I would have loved to see how things change with the xreal beam add on. It’s $110 more but addresses a few concerns like the multiple adapters needed for the switch as well as holding the screen in place when the head is rotated. Would love to see a follow up when the beam is available to review!
