review rokid air max comparisons
Well at least it’s not as large and expensive as Apple’s $3500 headset
I solves an issue I have with the Vision Pro, weight. I truly don’t think I want that large Vision Pro on my head. Even though the Vision Pro is more than this device with it’s gesture sensors etc, I think devices like this are more the future than the googles of the Vision Pro.
I discovered this device on Apple WWDC when the vision was introduced and i was dismayed by the $3499 price tag. I had the XReal Air’s at my house by the end of the week.
The Air’s are a compliment to your phone the same way AirPods Pro’s are.
The angle for this device to me is that you can have a 120 inch screen for whatever device you go and not attract the type of attention that the Apple Vision Pro will.
If you’re a student in a dorm when paired with your phone and headphones these glasses turn into a 120 screen to watch your movies and not disturb your roommate while studying.
Or if someone else is watching TV and you still wanted to view your content on a movie like screen.
At $379 this is an ecosystem I can support and wouldn’t mind upgrading when they come out with new hardware.
I’ve personally never considered mobile gaming until this, but it turns your phone into a decent game system on the go.
I think Apple is missing out in millions by not making an affordable device like this that augments the user experience on the devices they already produce 🤷🏾♂️.
Strange: the editors didn’t even this dude a title card lol. Who even is this ?
I’ve tried them, and they are the future, they are light, they have an open field of view and look cool. Of course, the software still needs a lot of work, but they are getting there. Also in terms of hardware, they have introduced Beam, which helps with both battery and connectivity. I’m amazed none of the big tech manufacturers haven’t bought them yet.
AR Glasses for my DJI?
Looks like a future “Standard” office gadget. The MINIMUM if you catch my drift
This video has bad timing. It also seems like it was reviewed, but the product itself wasn’t researched.
This is like reviewing and critiquing the PS5/XBOX for the first time when the Pro version comes out at the end of the month.
This month Xreal is releasing the Beam which allows users to enlarge the screen at will up to 330 inches as well as make it stationary so it doesn’t move when the glasses move.
It also makes connecting to the Switch a one cable affair as opposed to the dongle mess you saw on this video. It also it has Airplay if you want to use that as an option to display IPhones.
It’s been available to pre-order for at least 6 weeks now.
It should’ve been an adjustable headband type of glasses, rather than just a glasses frame; more opportunity for adjustments and also you can secrete other circuitry and processors – even a battery! 😀
Of course, this’ll mean it’ll weigh a little more, but it’s a small price to pay.
Oh, and the overall price won’t be so small – but it’s a small price to pay!
GG
These are amazing but I’m really curious how this could affect our vision from long term use.
They aren’t AR glasses (AR means Augmented reality and they don’t have any Augmented Reality features). They are glasses that offers a screen, without any fancy VR tech. And as such, the concept has it’s uses. But the screens are too small. And the block-out should be attached to the glasses, so it is more a case of just flipping it up for the few occasions when you might need to grab that gaming controller, or remote to control playback… sure you could just take them off, if it was possible to design them to be easier to take off, and we are probably a couple of years away from that.
I would really love to have a pair of glasses that just offers a big screen. And at this point, the Vision Pro, still seems to be the best for that, in terms of image quality, and with the potential of playback of 3D films, but they are unnecessarily complex, with the sensors, the fake eyes and all of that, which makes sense for some VR functionality and for use in an office or similar. But as just something to watch media on to replace a large TV/Projector, or for portable media playback when travelling or to take with you, to make sure you have access to a big screen no matter where you go on holiday or for work, the Vision Pros are too complex. And I’m unsure if any non-pro version would just drop those features, to just work as media glasses. And I would not expect a non pro version to come with the same quality of screens… But perhaps they could do a Apple TV Glasses Pro, for that.
Surprised you didn’t mention the 3D stereoscopic functionality as they’re great for watching 3D movies and playing 3D games.
Great tech, it’s like headphones but for displays
Sounds like you cannot create multiple screens from a computer and display them in front of you.
Looks like OEM version of Lenovo T1.
The Question is when will there be a next Version of XREAL?
Plus they need to ship Worldwide and not only the USA
