Really happy that you made it to the event and that you gave us a comparison with the epix 2. I was about to order an epix 2 but I am no longer sure. I guess the one thing I would be curious to know what you think is your impression of the topo maps available on both watches. I was looking forward to better topo maps to navigate in whiteout ski touring conditions and I thought the epix would be amazing at that. Any clues on where the epix is superior to the apple watch (except battery time)? What do you think about it for navigation or just simple heart rate sensing and acclimation features for high altitude?

Until it gets training peaks structured workouts and ability to connect to external devices (cycling power meters) it’s still a non starter for triathletes

Ordered! Was really looking at the Epix and I figured I would wait to see Apples offering and I was shocked it was “only” 800 when we see garmin model reaching toward 1k. I think this is an expectable blend of smart phone integration I love from Apple Watch and garmin like features without being an extreme in either direction. I think they hit a good middle ground here and a very competitive price.

Can you use other watch faces or are you stuck with the ones shown in the video? looks like complication buttons are in the center now and they’re adjustable?

As a sprint elite triathlete, I’m wondering if this could definitely replace my garmin watch. Using my bike computer for bike part. I’m wondering if this could cover 100% of my needs (with bonus apple ecosystem!).

I think it’s still a little while out from being an Epix competitor. It still needs a strain/recovery/ etc. I was going to buy an Epix 2 but I honestly think I am gonna wait to see what this turns into.
