That’s a big boy on the wrist
It is a personal thing to me – – woman has an irritating voice. Thank her for the info.
The 100m WR and the ISO EN13319 is fabulous for a smartwatch with microphones and a speaker, capable of taking calls and using a voice assistant. A world’s first. A worry is, how long before the 100 m WR is lower, and will replacement seals be available. I’m not partial to the Apple Watch looks , but oddly enough this looks better to me than the regular ones. This might be rationalization because I want Apples accuracy for HRM during weight training, not only aerobic workouts, the sleep tracking accuracy, 100m WR and dive features such as measuring the water temperature, and not having to worry about water ingress regardless of activity.
I’ve got an AW7, and in really rough conditions, it’s a toy rather than a useful tool. In deep sand, a crown blocks, and you can’t scroll a thing, and during harsh winter conditions, it can quickly freeze when you operate at – 30 Celsius. Big size watch on your wrist during precise climbing can be really a hassle. So if you are an outdoor maverick and an Apple Watch fan, I recommend you standard Apple Watch as small as possible and some GPS handheld like Garmin 66sr or smaller and lighter iridium like inReach mini 2. Just try to navigate on your watch, during a freaking cold blizzard, with wind speed over 18m/s, when you barely feel your fingers. Change my mind.
5:48 guy needs to wipe that look off his face. LoL.
If you start siren underwater, does it scares sharks? 😳
3:48 Wait, whaaat…?
What time your watch say at 3:47? 😁
W8 batery Last only 3 days?!
I feel like for an adventure watch they should have addressed navigation… like it’s still probably a pain in the ass to navigate with an Apple Watch if you don’t have your phone or a cell connection. I’m sure it will do the sport stuff fine, but an odd omission to call this an adventure watch but still be dependent on the grid. I know there are apps you can download and ways to get around this but if they made the effort for scuba mode they could have made some effort for offline mapping and navigation, which more people are prone to use
Is it finally going to allow Heart rate broadcast to say Wattbike hub? I’m sick of it not being able to do so and all is Wattbike say is you can link to Apple health. Yeah but it doesn’t broadcast your heart rate to other devices or apps.
Thank you! Been waiting for a video on this 👍🏽🍏
3:46 Charles Leclerc has that same watch!
Were you invited to Cupertino? If so, Apple really are taking fitness serious inviting you. Well done. I wrote this half way though. The GPS gave it away 😀
i think this first model isn’t worth getting. still not much improvement over a normal apple watch and far from the battery life of a garmin. maybe it’s just too much to jam pack into a watch to have cellular capabilities and long life or maybe with the increased size, we can see improvements happen now? Still a clear distinction between serious watches for athletes and apple watch but this is a step in the direciton to blur that line.
$799 is quite pricey for such limited battery life, why no solar? Garmin connect and it’s eco system is still way ahead, where apple are doing great work on hardware, their software is still too far behind i.e they’ve only just recently added power meter support. Imagine how long topomaps and running dynamics will take if ever.
Those are some ugly fingers and nails from the apple genius
If this was released a Friday I would be playing “Take a shot every time a Garmin fan says ‘but if I have to charge my watch more than twice a month I will die'”. Glad it is not Friday because that can’t end well.
You guys think it will track sleep and recovery?
