@DC Rainmaker would love to grab one of these but what is holding me back as a triathlete is that I use training peaks to train. As far as I know, there is no way to sync structured workouts to the watch (to carry out the structured workout) and then back to TrainingPeaks for analysis. Is anyone aware if this is possible? If not, I can’t see this taking off in a bit way until it does (at least for triathletes and training). Seems like quite a bit oversight. Thoughts?

It’s hilarious how Apple call the ultra for the explorer but fails to accomplish a proper ABC instead we had and A ?? C and even the altimeter is lame 😒. No 24h Barometric graph or Altimeter!!! I recon the entire Apple development team none of them ever owned a proper ABC Casio 😂😂😂

Hi, is the ocean band secure and snug? I love rubber/silicon strap as I can wash it, wipe down dry and wear it to sleep straightaway. I dont dive, but I prefer it over trail loop as it is waterproof.

The Ultra is a great-looking smart watch. Having said that, I can see the sharp edge of the bezel getting all sorts of hacked up. Would have been better to have it chamfered, as well as the bulge on the side. Even better, chamfer the bezel with notches. That would help to complete the rugged watch look. Still, it’s a beautiful watch. The second shortcoming is still battery life. 36 hours (even 60 hours) isn’t enough. Last thing is a golf app. That’s why my Garmin Epix Gen w sapphire/titanium will be delivered today from PlayBetter. When Apple can compete with battery life of Garmin AND include a golf app, perhaps I’ll go Apple again.

Seeing along size the 8….Yes it is a bit bigger all over and has one more button. But having tried an S1 and S4 and got frustrated with them I’m not convinced the Ultra is going to be any better to actually USE in poor weather as opposed to simply being a recording/glance device

this thing still seems far inferior to Garmin Fenix 7/Epix 2/Forerunner watches. Battery life is still awful, especially for its size and bulk. Only 12 hours in GPS mode in normal power mode. I guess my issue is how they advertise the watch for extreme athletes or explorers, but yet this watch gets you one day of use which doesn’t meet that group of people’s needs. Don’t get me wrong, its a nice watch, but it doesn’t fit the needs of the group they advertise it for mostly because of battery life
