Anyone who owns the 2021 version doesn’t need the upgrade. You only get HDR10+, the chip or storage won’t make a difference. Unless you like to game on it.

Apple TV is the best followed by Roku Ultra for simplicity and UI. FireOS UI alone makes amazon streaming devices the worst. Their OS is even worse than other Android OS devices. I use my Chromecast 4k for traveling

Hi! Could you just ask your subscribers if they want like me a mac pro in the cloud using the Apple TV 4k, i ask Apple but got no answer, if we just add a wireless mouse and a keyboard, everyone that possess an Apple tv could possibly had a mac pro in the cloud, this could be one of the nicer thing that Apple could do for every home. They just had to create a subscription at a nicer prices and an app for the mac pro in the ☁️ by mac pro in the cloud i mean using the mac os system in the cloud on our living room with Apple Tv 4k and our 4k TV, and its easy for Apple to do that, they really got a lot to win by doing that.

Much rather get the latest version of Nvidia shield pro that will do it all without compromise. I have to have all audio codecs and PLEX media compatibility.

Great info and I would definitely consider the new Apple TV if something would happen to my Roku Ultra. I have used the Ultra for 2 years and it just works for movies or playing music from my NAS device. Other factor is that our smart devices are all Google Home integrated so no advantage to be gained there. Still a compelling alternative.

I love my 2nd Gen AppleTV, we changed from Dish w/4K to Hulu, and the difference in picture quality is night and day. Hulu on AppleTV is fantastic, on Dish, 4k was really like 1080p. In fact, as time goes on, the other streaming apps on AppleTV have improved too. I am now convinced to add the new top-tier AppleTV to the living room and move the older version down to the next TV in the house. Thank you, enjoy all your videos.

Apple TV Plex still can’t play Dolby Vision though (at least the content I have), though InFuse will play it. I am still going with the Shield TV, since that will play almost anything you can throw at it.
