I’m debating between the 16Ram Air vs the 16Ram Pro. I use my iPad Pro for all my internet activities currently and would only use this for the video editing with Final Cut Pro. Be mindful that we are primarily talking about ~15min 4k videos shot from my iPhone, GoPro, and Mavic Air drone. I don’t want to overspend for something I don’t need, but I also don’t want to need an upgrade in the next 4 years.

I’d be very interested to see how the new MacBook performs in cold conditions. I’m a football photographer and my 2015 MBP turns off after about 45 mins if I don’t use an external battery pack. With one connected, it’ll last all match. This is temperatures 15 degrees and lower. It would be good if it would last an entire match using Photoshop.

Why you cant compare it to xps exactly? You can run same video render etc and lets see how long it takes comparatively

I really hope they don’t keep us waiting too long for the 4 port models. I’ve been waiting to upgrade my 2012 retina pro and was very tempted by the 16” but the idea of Apple silicon was always looming. Glad I waited, hope it’s early next year

How about a touch screen, pen support, MicroSD slot, ample ports, 1080p webcam, 2-in-1 design, face unlock, etc?
You know stuff the overwhelming majority of people with “real” jobs use and/or need.
Maybe then Apple’s laptop market share will rise above 8%…lol
