The design of the MBP is so outdated when you have it side by side with the XPS.
Those bezels are huge.
Performance is great and will get better when all app are compiled for the Apple SoC.

I have watched 5 reviews so far and your review is the only one happy with battery life – two Pro reviews … the other one was about 4 hrs under claimed and the three Airs have all been around >4 hrs under claims (around 10hrs some). Guess it’s all actual usage. Pretty obvious from watching you need to use Safari and not Chrome – basically Apple software for performance which is a problem for some.
Some of the apps have failed miserably so for those who don’t need it right now, just give a couple of months for further development.
Let’s see how the longer term tests go for each model before judging.

Intel should be worried. AMD crushing them in performance per watt, in laptops and Apple moving away from Intel.

Some questions I have left; Is Wifi performance improved over the old ones, are the speakers better between air and base pro 13, When did you use more than 8GB of Ram (Gaming/ Editing/ X Chrome/ Y Safari tabs, etc…) and how does that compare with the intel version. When looking at MacBook air do you get thermal throttling in XYZ scenario (Gaming/ Editing/ only synthetic benchmarks?)

I disagree that the webcam is a “great” improvement in your comparison, improvement maybe, but still bad…

Exciting launch, they’re great base machines for their form factor and might indicate big gains for higher spec machines in the future.

To be clear, great review.

M1 reminds me 5G which reminds me of the vaccines from Pfizer and Moderma. It one hell of a promising and exciting teaser, yet we won’t see its full fruition until 2021.
