It’s even more impressive considering the M1 has only 8Gb of RAM, as opposed to the 16 Gb of the x86 MBP and XPS, and some of the Apps were emulated on Rosetta 2.

Welp, I just ordered my Macbook Pro 16GB RAM 256GB SSD and it’s saying it’ll arrive in 1 month 🙁 I know there’s a pandemic and all but that’s not exactly light speed.

The design of the Dell is incredible. Slim basels nice looking device. Macbook looks absolutely the same as older models. No touch, we still dont know how will handle with x86 based software. Why u can choose between intel and silicon? Makes for me no sense. If u choice intel u got same performance than dell only if u choice silicon u get better results. Than it is obviously not a objektiv result.

5nm and ARM. is geekbench actually good or are people just assuming it is? What is it doing under the hood on different operating systems and api? You need to do your tests with real world tasks rather than benchmarks.

Great video, as always! I’m torn between the M1 and XPS 13 Evo. Love the performance and battery life of the M1, but also love the 4K touch screen and compact size of the XPS. The XPS kinda sorta holds its own vs. M1 performance-wise, so I’ll probably stick with mine until we see the M2, sometime in 2021.

The following does not correspond completely to my opinion but I believe one must bring your exaggerated opinion times something back on the ground of the facts!!!

Yes the M1 looks amazing. But why the hell do you think Intel or AMD should care about Apple? Apple has a market share of about 10-12% of the PC market. Sure that Intel losing Apple hurts them, but it is not the end of the world. And AMD won’t even care because they didn’t have a share of Apple anyway. Not to mention servers, high performance computing and supercomputers. Apple plays a big role in the smartphone market, but pc market? Come on… Don’t overestimate Apple…

But I really hope that the competition will lead to better and cheaper products for everyone!
