totally sold on the double performance on the mbp intel…currently use the mbp 13 kabylake and the high pitch fan kick in as soon as i export …. ANYTHING!

5950X is a desktop processor and many have it compared with M1?? Ryzen mobile for laptop 5000 series is not out yet.
Honestly, i still dont understand any comparison that several reviewers are doing with the M1, cause they barely mean anything. The best one and more informative was MKBHD which just showed us the bloody thing running and how it is with support.
I gotta say, in spite of admitting the M1 is an amazing chip for casual use (probably delivers the best experience in the market), still not gonna pay over a thousand euros for basically a fancy premium netbook.
Never understood why americans love their bloody macbooks. The M1 chip is the first compelling case for switching to their OS, although i still feel i cant be a power user while using anything apple. Not what i intend my laptop to be. Weirdly, this also makes it compelling to switch to apple PHONES in the future, since the bloody phone is where i am mostly a casual user. (i only watch videos, read stuff, use social apps and take notes, thats it).

Rosetta 2 isn’t an emulation, it’s a just-in-time translation. Emulation is something Rosetta 1 used, and what Microsoft uses for their ARM Windows when running x86 executables. As the name implies, emulation is much slower than translation.

I want to get either the MacBook Pro or air with 16 gb ram. I’m going to be using it for photoshop and 3D modelling and using CAD software. Also other things essential for university studying and taking notes. Which one should I buy?
