I find it interesting that most of the people who are reviewing the new MacBooks on YouTube nearly always have the 16” model in silver and the 14” in Space grey. It’s seldom the other way around.
5.5 hours of battery life with Chrome, slack and Apple music on the 14in, that’s not a lot… My 6-7 hours with the surface book 15 for a similar use don’t seem that bad anymore…
Lol was explaining performance per watt like your viewers are stupid really necessary?
I like how’s she’s always direct and to the point and doesn’t back away from an honest interview or review for the fear of losing a relationship with Apple.
Great imaginative review.
Great video. I did not need the effects and props, but the script built right up to the climax and was On Point – battery life still not as advertised!
get Joanna a raise! tbh i’m just waiting for her spinoff channel
I am not a hater but that thumbnail is not so good. it’s kinda weird.
she’s always so interesting to watch
Try iOS or Android IDE for performance testing
Did you try it with the video full screen and without the video control overlays? The overlays eat battery.
Does this 14″ supports 140W or the maximum wattage that it support is 96W?
How is the performance compare between the M1 Pro and Max when running the same task/video?
I sincerely tried to enjoy the review and take the positives from it, but it feels weirdly… incomplete. You seem vehemently obsessed about battery life which, yes, battery life is a very important metric, but it’s not the ONLY metric and watching the rest of the video it’s like you never acknowledged these machines are for developers, STEM professionals, videographers, photographers, etc. People who need a mobile workstation more than a battery slapped to a screen.
They are not for middle management Excel people. If your workflow is “Slack, Chrome and Apple Music” your company would be happier buying you the base model MacBook Air at $999. I promise, you won’t feel any difference in snappiness or battery life, and the machine will be like half a pound lighter.
I’m starting to like this section of the channel !!👌👌👌
SHE FR busted in and gave us the tea.
Can’t wait for Joanna’s Meta breakdown
Most entertaining tech review …..
