I bought this laptop. Plugged the keyboard out, modified the keyboard so it became like the old keyboard. This is possible and it works perfectly. Im working on my second project at the moment. The price is 2000 dollars for the new keyboard. Total price for the laptop including the modified keyboard is: 4399 dollars. If you are interested contact me. Great video. Editing my videos on Final Cut Pro on a 2016 13″ macbook touch bar fully spec’d for my Vlog. Starting to run into lag issues with 4K video. Do you think the 2.9Ghz will suffice or should I go in for the 3.1Ghz?

Good review so thanks for posting. Mine arrives this week and I did ‘reluctantly’ max it out. The cost differential wasn’t that bad considering the overall configuration. I can live with the 16gb of RAM based on the processor available. My hope is that I’ll find some added utility with the 2TB SSD e.g. Windows, faster performance, resale value, etc. However, I don’t believe this latest MBP is worth the price, regardless of how it’s configured.

I really wanted to wait until Coffee Lake and 32gb RAM, but my 12-inch MacBook (1st Gen) is nearly DEAD. Apple has agreed to fix it, but they need it for 2-weeks and I can’t go that long without it. I’ll likely keep the POS MacBook as the only good backup, is another computer.
