Unfortunately Apple is pricing many out of their platform as it’s now too expensive to buy into plus, those of us who have been loyal to the brand, are also being forced out due to the pricing structure. The iPhone is beyond my pocket and a replacement for my MacBook Pro is now £1,000 more than what I paid back in 2012/3… I’m seriously thinking along the lines of a Surface Pro 6 as a Mac replacement due to the price difference and, I’m seriously thinking about getting a Punkt MP02 mobile to replace my iPhone… it gives me WiFi tethering for my iPad Pro 9” and, if I get an iPod touch, I get the function of the iPhone but on a much lower price point…. £1,000 plus for a mobile phone….!!!

Great review and I agree with you except for recommending it. I would for $999 but not $100 cheaper than a pro that is only a quarter pound heavier and just as thin. I would run out in a heartbeat if it were under a grand. They could have thrown a second usb-c on the MacBook 12 dropped the price and called it an air.

Hi man, first of all, very nice review! Short but straight to the point! I have a question… i’d like to buy this Air but i’m not sure if the base model (128ssd/8gb ram) will be enough for my usage ..i’m basically a student so no problems at all but what if i’ll do some virtual boot with Windows , very light video editing, using garage band to play and something more? Increasing Ssd/ Ram or both will increase a lot the performance of this laptop?

hi!! loved the review but now I’m a bit torn between the new air or the new MBP w/ touchbar. I’m a high school student at the moment but I’m planning on using this for the rest of hs + college (basically however long it’ll go). I plan to use it not only to do basic web browsing, but I would love to learn how to use Final Cut Pro on it as well. I’m only a beginner right now but I want to edit and film videos in the future (but being a student is my first priority). Which one do you recommend?

Sir,There are many people like me who want to be creative, who want to edit photos and videos. And there are many people like me who even cannot afford a system that can help them to show their creativity to rest of the world. I have learned premiere pro by borrowing my friends pc for a week but thats the end. Sir it will be so much helpful if you could launch some sort of international giveaway.

I’m about to buy my first apple laptop , is the MacBook Air’s brightness really as bad as people make it seem ? I’m only using it for school papers and web browsing.

thanks for the review! would you recommend the 128gb version if i want the air to serve me for many years? i wont play games, won’t store movies, music and lots of pics – but will need lots of written documents, evernote, audio recording (not music). how do you think about that dilemma? thanks for the reply, best regards

Hi, I’m thinking about buying one but I’m a little worried about the issues reported on the 3rd gen butterfly keyboards (space bar, e, r, etc). Can you tell me how’s your keyboard so far? Any problems? Congrats for the video!

I have just up dated from the old air to the new model , I also maxed it out as much as possible – I really do love my new MacBook Air , my Mac book pro don’t ever leave the house & the air never comes in the house , I use this air every day while out as a sales & accounts manager its perfect for my work a day life ! – I would definitely highly recommend the Mac book air for anyone on the go , yes it is a little pricey but I think worth the extra especially if you already own other Mac products & are in the eco system then its a no brainer !
