I’ve always loved the design and form factor of the air. It’s also always been ferociously underwhelming in its performance, though. I thought the early 2020 i5 finally felt acceptable, but this new M1 air just absolutely blows it away. I took a hit selling my i5 but it was SO worth it. The new M1 air is finally the perfect design (I don’t care about bezels) combined with perfect, pro-level performance. This is why I switched to mac in 2010 and have never looked back.

Hi Max. I have a question. I’m wondering if link you put in your video for the MacBook Air on Amazon if that is the 7 gpu or the 8 gpu. According to Amazon it’s the 8 GPU for 999 but I thought the MacBook Air that is 999 was only a 7 GPU. Any thoughts would be helpful, I’m hoping to buy one. Thank you

Can confirm. I have the 8 gig version of the Mac mini with 512 gigs of SSD, and it’s my main computer now, even over my Intel MBP I got months before, though I still use it to play Blu Ray DVDs and such. Can’t wait for an M1 14″ MBP!

Would you recommend the base model MBA if one is solely using it as a device for online streaming (OBS, Zoom, etc)? Or should one upgrade to the 16gb Unified Memory?
