Thanks for your vid! Have the microsoft office applications optimized for M1 tho? Honestly this is the only consideration that makes me hesitant to buy MBA M1 now, because as a student I use hella lots of microsoft office-based works^^

I got the M1 Air as an iPad replacement and now (3 days later) I’m about to sell my i9 16inch MBP as it performs about the same. Apple Silicon is insane!

So here is my story. I ordered the M1 base mba with 16gb. Firstoff and I am not going to try figuring this out but Apple only charged me 899 plus 180 for 16gb and I am not a teacher:). Thanks Apple? I own a branding / graphic design / web design company and had a2017 base mbp 15 with 16gb of ram. Thatthing would get so hot and running certain program it fanned out. So I traded it in and basically got the M1 for 0. Recently we also made a decision to ditch Adobe and go with Affinity photo/ designer / publisher. Admittedly those programs are already maxed for M1 but geez theey work andd open like butter. So far I am blown away by not the benchmarks but it jUst runs so smooth and quick. Love the design of the air and the slight slant does make a differennce. Considering what the air used to be and now that the screen is good for editing I really hope it keeps up the love. Never in my wildest dreams would I think I would be designing a logo and doing a magazine on a mba.
