The keyboard x-springs are made of fragile plastic designed to break if you remove them for cleaning. The practices of reducing product life cycle is Apple’s trademark. OSX fans can buy a Lenovo Chromebook and install OSX atop a Virtualbox or VMWare – for 1/3 of the Apple price tag.
