I wanna get one, I make music on a now dead 15 inch MacBook Pro 2012 i7 and all.
Only thing that bugs me is the lack of normal USB ports

All ports from now & on should be usb c thunderbolt & it should have been before! Old ports should be stopped! I only agree with doubling the ports of usb c thunderbolt. This port is so amazing that you can only by plugging external monitor that supports usb c thunderbolt you can plug the mouse, K/B & headset to the external monitor!!

8gb of ram is not fine, is just ok for those who just simply want to do normal day stuff, web browsing, office work, video editing, but for software engineers or those who expect m1 to run windows 10 properly (one day lol), 16gb is key

Mine got slow for some reason and had to reboot, but that happens with any computer, apple may need to update big sur.

I may need to cycle the battery to get the battery indicator to be more accurate. I had to do this when I replaced my battery in my Pro and also to get it to let the battery drain a little after charging it to 100% before charging it back up while plugged in to protect the battery and increase battery lifespan.

So they remove the fan because people keep talking about the fan keeping turning on after you open facebook? So, better macbook with no annoying fan sound and less stress..good job.

I really wish you compared the 8 core M1 given that both the pros are 8 core. Any pro that hates the touch and is considering the air over the pro is going to go for the 16 GB 8 core.

I have never owned a mac computer. I used windows for many years and hated it. I have been using chromebooks for the last 6 years. But I realized I need something more. So today I ordered Macbook air m1 and I am super excited. Plus it comes in gold!

when he is talking about editing videos he is talking about final cut not i movie right? is final cut faster than i movie because in my machine i can export same 5 min 4k h.264 file in (5 min) in i movie will it be faster in final cut?
