I have a Surface Book since 2015, in a few years I am looking to switch laptop for my phD, I have been lookig towards mac for softwares such as i movie etc .. and changing from windows a bit.
I game from time to time, things like League of legends, which is why i was looking more to the macbook pro.
But will I not be lost coming from windows ? Do i lose many functionnalities by staying with my samsung phone (i prefer them to iphones, personal preference)

Please help me to decide… So, I’m a graphic designer student who use a lot of Adove Illustrator and a little bit of Photoshop. My doubt is if the basic M1 MacBook Air could support my workflow (mainly spend hours working in projects with a lot of layers, etc).
My budget is tight and want to make the wright decision and have a good machine for years to come.

i have M1 MBP would not recommend lmao, for some reason mac os always slows down or freezes when running intellij and chrome simultaneously

This is exactly why I think of which Mac to buy. From speed and producing heat to thickness, weight, battery life and charging down to resolution, RAM and and portability. I personally think of using my budget on bigger Mac models (laptops), even if it has to deal with a tablet. Personally I hate it when my devices produce heat too much.
