The old one reached 100 degrees and stayed there for as long as you pushed it, because that chip spiked to 35W lol… The M1 by contrast NEVER breaks past 16W at most.

I just need some opinions on outdoor brightness. The fanless seems great for when I’m camping but 100 extra nits on the pro is pushing me over the edge.

I switched from a PC to a mac mini M1 for my main computer and I can’t keep myself from putting my hand on it to see how cool it is. I feel many Windows users will switch to these new machines.

It would be perfect if it had a 1080p webcam. But it’s pretty damn close to perfect.

Firefox won’t work correctly with add-ons on the M1 and Outlook has no sounds, but I assume that will be fixed soon.

Getting the dirt-cheap Air now is a no-brainer. Can’t begin to image what the next iteration of the Air would be like though.

Another awesome, real world, common sense comparison video. Now… how does the M1 Air compare to the iPad Pro? Of course there’s the form factor issues of the keyboard and trackpad, Apple Pencil and multitouch, iOS vs MacOS… but on performance alone are there any compromises or advantages either way?

I am desperately waiting for virtualization, Linux and docker support… Oh and preferably at least 512gb of storage and even though I am usually an Apple-Hater, this M1 series is making me incredibly curious and once first and/or second gen passed, I might just get one.

Hey MaX Tech got a question bro. I’m currently using a Windows HP envy 13 inch laptop. It runs on 8th gen core i7. However I’ve been fascinated by this M1 Macbook air and its speed so thought it might be a good time to try MAC OS. So my question is should I wait for the Macbook air redesign? Or buy the macbook air now?
