Maybe someone can help me out with this: I wanted to buy this as I will be beginning college in January, however, because of COVID everything is online. I have read some reviews that say that the M1 MacBook Air is no good because it can’t even run Zoom and a few tabs without overheating and shutting down. Is this true? Should I get the 2nd version with the Touch Bar (which I’ve also heard is no good)? Thanks in advance ❤️

Has anyone been able to successfully run diagnostics on their M1? On my MBP diagnostics freezes after about 30 seconds and never completes. Anyone know of any work arounds?

I chose the Zephyrus G14 R7 over this. Not sure how I feel about that but hey at least i got to save some cash for Cyberpunk2077

Well, the H264 conversion comparison is a bit flawed since normally that is not a job done by the central intel processor but a job performing by the video card multi-processor of the computer. Indeed, you are comparing an M1 with an integrated video card module versus a single quite obsolete intel processor…
