It’s very tempting but I’m waiting for the m1x 14 inch redesign earlier next year. Want that extra graphics power for some better gaming performance at higher settings. Hoping Apple adds higher refresh rate screens since 60hz on a computer is practically unacceptable, 120hz should be the bare minimum for a serious computer user

Agreed.. most perfect machine I own. Regularly choose it over my 16″ i9, just because the silence itself is worth it since I record a lot of audio. The fact that it’s snappier, quieter, and is 1/3 of the price, is actually insane. I’m super hyped to see where the future takes this chip.

GREAT overview! What about repairability? if some component fails, if the keyboard fails, or the thunderbolt port fails, does all the top case, logic board needs to be replaced? That is my main complaint with Macbooks, hard to repair. Anyway I ordered the Macbook Air with 8 core GPU 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. It was 160 off on cyber Monday, and 110 dollars cheaper than the 7 core GPU model. The base model was 899, but I think 256GB can get tight.

I loved all the M1 videos in the beginning, but it feels like all the YouTubers are milking M1 content now. Looking forward to repeating the cycle when the M1X comes out!
