“… and Apples’ cooling solution sucked” – funny, there isn’t even a cooling ‘solution’ in there. There is a small block of aluminum on the CPU and somewhere on the left is a fan that is in no imaginable way connected to that heatsink. Of course the temps are damn high and the fan runs loud AF. Quite fascinating how (compared to that) efficient the M1 actually seems to be

Nice summary. Could never figure out why Apple wouldn’t run heat pipes over the processor in the previous Air. This of course makes that irrelevant.
