Thank you very much. You are doing 100500 reviews on the same laptop and it may seem crazy. It was thanks to your work that I decided not to buy a MacBook Air 2020 on an Intel processor. The fact is that in our country, at best price for Air is the same as for the pro13′ version – these are duties and a seller’s margin. I bought the intel macbook air 2020, just because my other windows computer died at that time and I wanted to transition to mac for some time. I did not notice too much of a heating problem, probably because I am not doing any difficult task (I get around 80 degrees when gaming Warcraft Reforged, which is not that bad I guess). However, now I am very sad knowing that I could have bought this laptop and get much more value for even less money (because I upgraded the intel model to i5 and 16 GB ram). I really did not expect the version with the new chip to come so fast, definitely not in the same year. 🙁

SO, you are saying that if I, being an architect, who planned to buy the $1499 M1 Pro 8core CPU and 8core GPU and adding $200 for the 16G RAM (total $1699), could do better and go for the $1249 M1 Air 8core CPU and 8core GPU and adding $200 for the 16G RAM (total $1449), with a workload involving running simultaneously Autocad, Archicad, Photoshop, and some occasional Cinema4D rendering, just “losing” the touch bar and a 100 nits in display brightness (which I never use maxed out), AND save $250 bucks and avoid fan noise with no real-life lack of performance and be happy?

I really enjoy the channel’s content but too many “we were wrong” videos are a symptom that something is wrong. Maybe focus on “early impressions” videos and take 3 or 4 weeks to make an actual review?
