I bought a refurbished 16″ macbook pro instead. Reason, it still runs windows with boot camp 👍, n I need it to play games. Also, if u r a programmer, 13 inch is too small without a external monitor.

I ordered the 13” MBP Pro base model it delivers tomorrow. But I think I am making a mistake. I just bought it because I will use it for long time. Should I get the Air?

Well, the Macbook Air is not ‘perfect’ in one very important way; it gives me severe eye fatigue and no changes I made to the color, contrast, resolution, scale or brightness of the screen helped! A quick search indicated I was not alone; the screen probably uses PWM and/or temporal dithering, which both cause eye fatigue to those sensitive to either. I’m currently in the process of returning mine for this reason. Too bad because I liked the machine otherwise (though I’m not nearly as excited about the ‘magic keyboard’ as Max; it’s only average imo).

Strange… He just tested the Asus G14 to be the same speed as the M1 Air. Except the G14 will actually play 2020 AAA titles with no problems possible making it a better choice for mixed use. But if mobility is key the M1 really looks to be a joy since the battery life is amazing. Both machines are about the same price.
