Absolutely love my M1 Air. It’s ridiculous power for little money. Using it for graphic design and video editing.
You and Vadim are amazing – so many helpful videos. Thanks! I wonder if a cooling pad would reduce thermal throttling on the mba. I like the form factor a lot more for mobility but hope to squeeze out as much performance as possible when doing more demanding work at my desk.
i’m pretty sure that your channel will cross 1 Million before the two year mark Max!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice review. Thumbs up for your enthusiasm.
do u necessarily need an eGPU for the M1 MacBook tho? 😆😆😆
I’ve got the Air upgraded to 8-Core GPU and 512GB SSD and 8GB RAM, and it’s absolutely incredible. As an audio engineer I kinda wish I’d gotten the 16GB RAM version, but honestly it takes a lot to hit any limits, and I only see the limit while using a Rosetta 2 Translated DAW (Pro Tools), so once everything is optimized I think it’ll be pretty amazing.
16g value? 8g vs 16g
@Max Tech – I Love your videos, especially on the new M1 Macs. My wife and I were over due and upgraded to an air and a pro. I’ve noticed on both models the GPU seems to hover between 10-25% at all times due to WindowSever. Whether there are any apps open or not and whether I’m doing anything on the computer or just watching it. It seems that nearly 30% of GPU power is being used whether I’m doing any computing or not. My previous intel Macbook the GPU would be idle most of the time and jump up with any animation or app that used GPU. Have you noticed this? Is it normal?
The video which I really wanted to see.
iPad Pro 2020 versus MacBook Air m1
Got the 16/512 M1 Mac Mini on the way this week. Coming 3 weeks earlier than expected, can’t wait. My 2012 i7 Mini is still decent but at times it’s been struggling since I really throw a lot at it. 👍
i really wanna buy the m1 macbook air but my uni requires me to use windows sometimes and m1 just doesn’t support bootcamp 🙁
Get the 16 gig version. The 8 gig version swaps like crazy to the ssd.
Im planning on switching to apple from windows
I just want to stream using light stream on twitch m with my M1 MacBook pro
Sold. When my dell xps 13 dies after few years, I will go for mac rather than Windows. The M1 or maybe in future M2 is going to be the future.
I’m editing 60MP photos on my 16gb M1 Air and it has been an extremely nice experience. The wide color gamut makes the computer a photographer’s dream mobile solution. I’ve been dealing with two very old computers and while I still need to upgrade in the desktop department, the Air is an extremely capable transition product (for when an m1 iMac comes out with hopefully newer display tech) that gives me great performance while not forcing me to compromise with an already outdated iMac that will be eclipsed in the near future.
I literally thought the video ended
I agree mine is working great for the amount of use it has gotten this year with my family
Hey Max Tech, how long was the timeline of 8k redraw footage video that you exported?
