John, I love you. (In a totally respectful and not at all uncomfortable way.) Your sense of humor, self-deprecation, and unfiltered attacks on Google and Apple when they totally deserve it.

You do the job of covering the news, and reporting the leaks, in a way that makes clear you are not beholden to the companies you’re reviewing like some of the other YouTube Apple-centric stars are.

Keep it up, stay on your depression meds, and know that you’re making a lot of people (who are on the toilet) smile with each new video.

You know what is bullshit? I’ve had an always on display on my iPhone 11 Pro through jailbreak. NEVER saw a significant decrease in battery life while using it. I really think apple just saves these features to sell more products to the people who aren’t all the tech savvy or knowledgeable.

I already own an android too so please save the “buy an android” comments.

AOD’s aren’t really battery hogs tbh. I have a Pixel 2 XL which is locked at 60hz, with an AOD, which hardly uses up battery(maybe 3-5% a day), and my Galaxy S21 has an AOD with the lowest refresh rate it can go to being 48hz, again, hardly uses up battery. Apple’s just being dicks only making the AOD feature for the 14 Pro/Pro Max. Apple could easily give an AOD for the 11 Pro/Pro Max, the entire 12 series, and the entire 13 series, without much of an impact on the battery life(I also have an iPhone 11 Pro, hence me being a lil pissed if it doesn’t get an AOD, it has a solid battery life already, and an AOD won’t negatively effect the battery life at all).

AOD is what’s kept my on Android the past couple years. It’s a shame this will be a Pro only feature, but I’m also not surprised.

John are you ok, Im hoping your statement about depression is a joke, tbh listening to you throughout the Covid lockdown with your infectious sense of humour helped me through it, I was also suffering from depression at the time, you really helped me, but I also went to the doctors and had blood tests, it turns out I had a vitamin D deficency, low Vitamin D can cause depression, please get yourself a check up, as ive been taking it for a couple of months now and it has cured my depression, far better than antidepressants for your health too, good luck
