@TheParaxore Well, why buy a Macbook Pro without checking out the hardware, prices, and everything before you buy it? I mean, that’s what the rest of us do. We look at the positives and the negatives. But, obviously your consumer habits are about on level with your knowledge of Apple’s quality design. With Apple, you get what you pay for. You get a great design, great support, the best OS and the list goes on and on.

@TheParaxore You are totally wrong about Apple’s computers being “2.5x” more than the equivalent hardware on a Windows PC. I’ve checked the prices between the two, and usually you’re only paying about $300-$400 more for a Mac than a PC with the equivalent hardware and a lesser operating system. Check it out for yourself. I did.

@TheParaxore I don’t mean to sound nasty or anything, but I’ve been doing this computer thing for thirty-one years, and Apple is leading the pack on design, support, innovation and application support. There’s so many great things to say about Apple that I can’t even list them all here. I mean, granted, Apple could turn down a wrong road one day, but I just don’t see it happening anytime soon.

@blicksflicks I must have been misunderstood, I repeat I have no problem with apple’s build quality or OS I think there very well made and some of the best quality you can get in the industry, my complaint is how much more overpriced apple charges for there hardware, and I have checked, it is much cheaper to buy a pc with the same exact hardware as a mac.

@TheParaxore Actually, that’s not true at all. People always say that. They always say Macs are more expensive than a PC of equivalent hardware. However, that is not true at all. I’ve looked at that situation. It is a total myth. I tried your theory out though. When I wanted to upgrade my 2007 Macbook Pro, I took the 2011 Macbook Pro price and tried to see what Alienware could give me for the same price. I was astonished to discover that the Alienware was more expensive than the Macbook Pro.

@TheParaxore What do you mean? They are good! The problem is you just don’t get it. You want one of those “under $1000 computers” just to save money. However, if I’m going to buy a computer, I’m going to buy a computer that rocks my world. I’d rather save my money than spend it on a under $1000 computer with Windows installed on it. I mean, Windows users are lucky they have iTunes and Safari for Windows. I feel for all the maintenance+antivirus they need to keep their system running nicely.

@TheParaxore I’ll put it this way. When I was shopping for a premium computer, I knew how much I wanted to spend. My limit was $4,000. Although I don’t like Windows PCs, I checked out both sides of the argument. And, what you’re saying just isn’t true. Plus, with my Macbook Pro, I can run Windows in Parallels or Boot Camp if the need arises. With a Mac, I get the best of both worlds plus a better design and the best operating system. Macs move with the user–not against them.

@blicksflicks Of course, alienware’s have way better specs than apple!!! For instance, Asus G74 is slighty better in specs than a 17inch macbook pro and is 1000 euros cheaper!!!

u guys dont realize that the reason we buy a mac is just not for the specs, heres some other reasons.

build quality, all aluminum design, name one pc that is all metal, unibody and solid like a mac.

customer service, they are surprisingly very generous throughout their entire line up. I got a new ipad because of dust under my old ones screen.

Dependable and safe. When do you ever hear a mac breakdown or a virus on a mac? very rarely

And most importantly the software clean, easy and efficient

@ih8sn0w1234 but some people -myself included- are having very hard time trying to accept just how bad windows 7 really is. Having used OsX for years going to win7 may not be a pleasant experience. I spent last 6 months on a Vaio with windows 7 and would not go back to that world. it’s true mac are expensive and lacking in certain features but on the other hand where it really really counts my experience is they are still the best.

Man, my friends grandpa owns one, and when ever i go with my friend to his house, im always thrown off…SERIOUSLY THOUGH, the screen is sooooo…beautiful! and its so smooth…BUT SOOOO EXPENSIVE. i really want one.

Seriously, once a laptop passes 15 inches it gets just way to big…. I think 13.3 is the perfect size
