Just switched from a OnePlus 7 Pro to the iPhone 13 Pro, and ultimately it came down to a couple key reasons.

1. I live in the US, and so many people here have iPhones. Things like iMessage, AirTags and Apply Pay just make the experience better here.

2. Androids just seem inconsistent. OnePlus software is a shitshow, Google hasn’t figured out basic things in the Pixel like a quick fingerprint reader, and Samsung just comes with TONS of bloatware.

3. I don’t have to worry about battery life and performance on the iPhone. Androids do well, but iPhone is the clear winner here.

Bottom line: I didn’t really want to switch. I love the customizability and power user features of Android. I miss picture in picture so much. But iPhone has plenty of exclusive features too, and most importantly, I just don’t have to worry about the phone at all. It just works, I don’t have to worry about updates bricking my phone, and I don’t have to worry about it dying.

I decided to go with an iPhone this year as my personal phone (I have had iphones for work) and although I get some of the hype, especially when it comes to hardware, it does a lot of things that don’t make sense. Notifications are just not as good as android, Siri is borderline useless, I don’t understand why downloading files is such an ordeal, where is a systemwide EQ for music, why no USB-C (though other Apple products have it), and I have noticed way more app closures and app freezes than I ever did on Android. I guess there is no perfect phone but I guess I will see how long I last with iOS.

Boils down to your personal choice or scenario. I use a Mac. I love it. So I use an iPhone mostly because of that. And well I am also an iOS app developer.

i think this conversation is highly circulated towards market region where people already got used with apple ecosystem a lot. with those thing considered of course apple will win by massive margin. at the end of the day it’s all about how people got used to operate a thing and from this conversation it’s just sooo clear for us what they certainly do care and what not🏃🏻‍♀️

7.5 to 2.5 yikers. the only reason i have an android is because it was $90 total with a case and screen protector at walmart.

It felt like it was a completely biased opinion on iphones specially the software category and support , even if iphone does support 5 year software updates i have rarely seen someone using an iphone for the said amount pf time without facing multiple issues with respect to battery and choosing to upgrade also making a case for the environment topic
