this is from the perspective of two tech people rather than a conclusive thing and from an American perspective, at least with iMessage. (MMS/SMS isn’t free in my country).

It feels like a “Buy Apple” ad, you can’t go wrong. screw having options!

I don’t use airdrop as much although I do from mac to mac or iPhones. I personally think that you can’t go wrong with either side, unless you buy the cheapest shit android has to offer then your experience WILL vary from the rest. Arun started with trying to make his cheap phone better, and that’s what i do too. However, I think since 2014/2015, i didn’t feel the need to root my Android anymore. With Apple, the customization isn’t even close, it’s good that they’re allowing some things now but man, Oneplus alone felt like a custom rom back then. Now, it feels like they lost that edge but i haven’t touch a OnePlus since 3T or was it

This which is better, really is a use case situation. If you are going to be a light user, you don’t need a high end Samsung/Android and might not need a high end iPhone either. If it is ok with you, go with a hand me down phone flagship.

I stop buying phones that are brand new. I always opt for the last year’s model or the previous year before that because there are people that will change phones as much as their underwear and those people are good to keep close haha.

Samsung still gave updates to my note 9 recently, which was surprising because i thought it ended actually. I personally go with the more versatile . I even got a gaming laptop before when I hardly play games for the sake of having it there. My macbook has dualboot (intel) so i can flip to Windows when i need to. Otherwise, it’s macOS when working. Linux I love, but that is far from being a market mover for now. hopefully, they prove me wrong.

If i was american, i probably be on iOS because my family probably be on it. I can run Linux on my android and i have an m1 iPad that isn’t doing much . I find that kiwi browser allows me to have chrome extensions but it’s not on ipadOS and I felt it’s ok, i can run a VM on the iPad. I can’t do it exactly even if there is (i think there is based on some videos i’ve seen) but i only have the 64GB version and man, that sucks but if you get the 256GB one, it’s close to the price of the iPad pro based, which would make you want to get that instead since the difference between the two isn’t much.

I thought this video was going to be comprehensive but i guess, they’re seeing it from a normies eyes but to me, it’s their preference. If i had a tech channel, maybe i would be the same too. Just choose the easiest to manage. I don’t doubt normies would prefer that rather than going through customization and shit like that.

To me, it depends on which one a person prefers, because at the end of the day, both can do similar stuff. But I’d say android for budget reasons.

Quite primed a conversation…close to an appy fanboy video. Was expecting a balanced perspective from both of you. Except for the video part Android is better in all aspects.
A typical ifan video goes like this…
If something is available in Android and not in iphone it becomes a “gimmick”..
If iPhone has something and Android does not…”see Android is crap!”.
This is the first video from Arun for which I had to click a dislike 🙂

It was the camera app issue on Andriod that finally pushed me to switch to iOS. It wasn’t just one phone, it was three in a row. Then the final straw was that a decent Android phone has reached price parity with iPhone. Everything else just got so expensive that the “Apple Tax” almost no longer applies. See the cost of the Microsoft Surface Laptop versus an MacBook Air.

It really boils down to personal choice.
I don’t see myself ever switching to Apple because of those little features that Android lets me do, but is a struggle to do with iPhone.
Android is more like Windows, it feels like it lets you interact with everything, and instead Apple feels like it restricts you to Apple.

I honestly don’t think taking android as an average is somewhat unfair, seeing as apple’s battery, performance come from their focus on those few products. Android cannot have that bonus due to the pure amount of phones. Thus I would argue that androids natural advantage of having all those different phones should also be taken into account.

MKBHD is an apple fan boy and a true American. Ofcourse he votes for iphone. He made a video about justifying apple wheels 🤣. I agree in performance and battery backup iphone is better but no way it’s display equals to samsung and photography is better than samsung. Apple is no more doing any industry pushing inventions but doing more money grabbing inventions. At this point apple doing more harm to the industry than good. This point alone is enough not to go for greedy apple.

I have never used the dual app thing on any android phone. I personally think its not functional at all in almost all scenarios. Just having 2 apps and add the keyboard into the mix, turns into complete madness and preparing your apps for this shit is the worst thing ever.

There’s definitely been times where I take pictures with my 13 Pro and the pictures never show up in my gallery. So the part about it never happening on an iPhone is a straight up lie.
