Android is open source, IOS cannot match. Android phones have freedom : easy root access, custom roms, install apps from everywhere; IOS cannot match it. My phone doesn’t display ads, anywhere, at all systemlessly and without any additionnal app; IOS cannot match. I can repair my phone (8/10 repair score), the Iphones can’t match that. I have a headphone jack, micro sd card, 120hz, ir blaster… The iphones can’t match.

I appreciate what you were trying to do here and to evaluate each phone according to the categories discussed, but more and more people don’t buy phones based on equipment, but on ecosystem. I’m so far down the Apple rabbit hole that I’ll admit I’m not impartial. I have been tempted by some of Androids offerings (i.e. foldables) but you could show me an android phone that has a camera that can take a portrait of an alien on the moon’s surface and I wouldn’t take it and give up all the functionality that the iPhone offers. Also, one category that I feel you should have covered was security and privacy. BIG consideration when deciding between the two.

The main reason that’s turning me off for apple is the ecosystem that their trying to trap the user wether it’s consciously or unconsciously. I just love the freedom of choice with android. If Samsung decided to make a feature thats really dumb or disliked,you can just go towards another brand but if its apple, if they make weird stuff that you don’t like,your either just gotta get used to it or just wait a while for their next release which ‘hopefully’ fixes it. Basically i despise it when company gets too greedy and try to make it so that literally everything you own is from them. I love(and hate) that apple does do a lot of things well,I just don’t like their attitude about it.

I have an Apple phone and an Android tablet; wife has an Android phone and an Apple tablet. As the tech support person for everything, I prefer the Apple stuff, but Android also works.

The average selling price of an android can’t be higher than like 600-700 USD. iPhones can be lower than like 900 USD.

That makes this comparison very difficult.

My main reasons for android are the headphone jack and the ability to force desktop websites in my phone browser. Some sites will just not load you full res images on Safari or other browsers on the iPhone which is absolutely not acceptable when you try to access online auctions and need to make sure what you are bidding on. Neither is it acceptable to use my only port for listening to music in a worse way nor not having an option to insert an SD card. But that goes for most flagship devices now. I used iPhones before and currently write this from an Macbook.

The fact that both of you doesn’t use split screen multitasking, and I do sometimes when I make video chapters, maybe translating something. It’s good.
Also Great Collab, hope we see soon a Collab with LMG/LTT.😁
