People complaining about standardised ports need to look at HDMI. It doesn’t limit every tech to USB C; rather, it moves for a standardisation, but that’s not to say there *needs* to be a new port entirely when USB c has plenty of room to get better, just like the aforementioned hdmi standard. Further, It’s hardly limiting innovation since it allows faster charging and data transfer speeds and, here’s the icing on the cake, is also good enough for ipads, i macs, macbooks and macbook airs.

Idk what you’re talking about, I’ve never heard anyone say once you move lightning connector to USB-C that you will never ever be able to update it ever again. That sounds insane and asinine. Surely once they come out with new technology you can definitely upgrade the USB-C port as needed, that would be ridiculous if you couldn’t.

iOS 16 should be renamed iPhoneOS 16 since the iPod touch was discontinued last May and will not support iOS 16. Three years ago, iPads get iPadOS. Then what about iPhone, they should bring the original name back after 12 years!

Even though my iPad mini 6 and Air 3 won’t get stage manager it won’t effect me much, I rarely do any serious multitasking on any of my portable devices. Occasionally I’ll do side by side on my 12.9 M1 but I never felt the need to have more than 2 or 3 things running on the same screen even on my 13 MacBook. I do understand the frustration of other consumers concerning this issue though.
