I wonder if the ceramic in the glass helps with heat resistance by simply not letting it go through to the display. Stuff’s a pretty good thermal insulator after all.

You couldn’t be more right about apple successfully tapping into the mind.
It’s crazy the devotion people will have to this brand. I’m currently in a audio production class and there’s this kid I sit next to who is a glowing example of this. He had a 12 Pro Max and Apple watch 6 and literally pre-ordered the 13 Pro Max and Watch 7 on his MacBook Pro 16 in class at the end of the Apple keynote. The kid spent $1600 like ording takeout, only to gain marginally better hardware 🤦‍♂️

Having $2Bn in the bank just means Apple is good at ripping people off and playing fast and loose with the law. Of course it helps that Woz laid the foundation for THE fastest and most efficient computing chips for Tim and the late Jobs to use as bait for the most impressive tech scam on Earth. It is NOT good business practice to strip the customer of their rights to ownership and intentionally locate the actual factory where the devices are made in a country run by dictatorship to profit from the lack of human and workers rights in those countries. While simultaniously locating the banks where you keep that ill gotten gain as far away from taxation as possible while living in the country to wich those taxes would have been paid and still enjoy all the benefits bought with the tax dollars of those who do actually pay their fair share.

It’s pretty scummy if you think about it.
