I use luminar neo for editing, my 2017 iMac can’t handle it anymore. Which of these will be better for my needs? I shoot RAW on lumix at 24MP

This test is completely pointless. It makes no sense to compare new laptops with slow drives 256 that no one buys for photo or video editing.

I have a gaming PC, I just needed a laptop for everyday tasks with a little bit of photo and video editing with great battery life which can also run Minecraft smoothly and the M2 Pro 16 GB ticks all the boxes for it, went with it and I am super happy with it

I feel the M2 13MBP 24/16 has the best average from all the tests? Is this right and should we consider M2 MBP instead of M2 Air?

So interesting, thank you so much. I am still doubting which way to go. It seems the M1Pro really beats the M2 in most photo stuff, yet my main program is Photoshop -not Lightroom-, and the M2 outperforms the M1 Pro notoriously in PS… however, the M2 used in the Photoshop comparisons is 24GB, and my option to buy where I live is only 16GB maximum… so I wonder, does an M2 16GB 512 still beat the M1Pro 16GB 512, like the M2 24GB 256does? Or would the M1Pro 16GB 512 be the overall winner in performance?

Hi. I’m currently own the Nikon Z9 and already have a MBP 14”. I’m looking for a MBA for my travel photoshoot usage. I’m looking at MBA on either 16gb or the 24gb ram. Is 24gb ram worth the extra dollar or 16gb is already good enough?

Thank you for this great comparison video! I’m a designer and developer currently using the 13″ i5 2020 MBP (16GB RAM) and I have noticed I’m maxing out my RAM when using Windows 11 in Parallels on my 4k monitor. Do you think I could get away running 1-2 virtual machines at once whilst using Firefox, Chrome, Spotify and Affinity Designer on a 24GB M2 Macbook Air? I absolutely love the new design form and would prefer it over the M2 Pro if it won’t choke in performance!

Wondering if you can give a recommendation (not photography though)? Most common applications I use are dropbox (usually have files online and download them locally when I want to use them), word, outlook, excel, Evernote, Adobe, PDF expert, slack, zoom, safari. I often have several applications open at once, multiple safari tabs and large files. I have a single 27″ display I connect to for work during the day. I like to bring laptop to work 2 days/week and sometimes work in bed/on couch. What to get if money isn’t an option? I do maybe lean towards preferring thinness of Air
