Also such a noticeable screen difference! Very nice video. Thank you.
Wow, the display on the MSI during the photo and video editing sucks.
I wonder if you tested the MBP 16” M2 Max plugged in with the high power mode enabled (it’s only available when plugged in)
great comparison!
DESTROYED
Interested comparison that’s actually fair, I have seen so many that compared them with entire level
Epic comparison
dude, I understand that historically games coming to mack isn’t really a thing, but please let this change. I mean, with results like this the only reason not to is a smaller user base. but who knows. I and my friend group each have both a mac and a pc. the pc we only use for gaming. as in, all our document editing and work admin happens on our mac. the pc is only turned on to game just like an xbox would be. if I could play the games on my mac I wouldn’t have 2 devices
To be honest, even though I knew the Mac will perform better in real-world tasks I didn’t expect this much difference. I’m literally shocked because I expected the MSI to performance similarly since it has comparable raw performance, especially since it was running on external power.
This has me thinking that even though a 13th gen i9 and rtx4080 combo will have better benchmark performance than the Mac, it still won’t be as great as the Mac in real world.
This proves how better Apple’s hardware and software integration is, especially since it does all these on battery. It’s amazing!
It wouldn’t help the PC by a lot, but running the PC next to the Macbook – with less than 1in between the two – you’re effectively blocking one of the exhausts of the PC “it’s blowing all over the Macbook”…
PCs run hot – and you’re heat soaking one of the fin arrays on the side, effectively cutting down on the thermal performance of the PC by a significant amount. Or not! You guys have the computers, you can test it again!
Now let’s see if Apple will keep on holding back its desktop line just to not making the laptop line look weaker.
I don’t really see the point of these windows laptops, they suck so much power that they literally become a desktop. And if you unplug it, the processor transforms into an Intel Core Duo.
Nailed it
Clicked on this video because of the title, but as I only use the power in these machines for blender renders I skipped to that part. Looks like nothing has changed so I left. ✌️
I’d rather see the 13th gen Intel chip with the Ada Lovelace mobile GPU
great comparison video and detailed as always
nice review
thanks
Although gaming comparisons are very difficult would Resident Evil Village be a good one to test for Windows vs Mac?
It seems to be the most high-end relatively optimized AS game out there so could offer a decent comparison.
The problem is you only need these insane amount of cores because programs are so poorly optimized these days. Windows will have programs and games that just don’t run on mac, so the comparison is kinda moot
