Hey, I am looking to purchase a MacBook Air. Should I go with MacBook Air m1 or m2. The base price of m1 is ₹86k (1075$) and m2 is ₹101k (1375$). Should on paper there is a difference of 300$. But I can sell the free AirPods that will come with m2 air.. to lower the price but it will still cost me ₹100k (1275$). So what should I do??

I gave up a 2 year-old XPS-13 2-in-1 for my new MacBook Air and couldn’t believe the difference. I can’t vouch for the most recent Dells but that one was loud because the battery was on all the time it seemed, the battery life was terrible, and don’t even get me started on the keyboard. Yes, the display is beautiful. The MacBook Air is so much better in so many ways. And I have to say that being back on MacOS is a joy. Windows isn’t going away and Dell, HP, Acer, etc. will not just lay down and give up. But something tells me that Mac laptops will be the best laptops for a long time to come.

You are the authority on these videos. I won’t buy anything til I see a review from you. You are relatively unbiased you give your opinion but it’s honest not a paid for by the company opinion. You managed to give us all the specs, comparisons and opinions in 13 minutes. These other guys try to get all fancy and gimmicky which pushes their videos to a half hour. I don’t care enough to watch your blatantly obviously paid for gimmicky “review” for a half hour! Thank you Lisa for being awesome!!!

Nice, a no brouhaha review! The Thunderbolt ports are actually Thunderbolt 3 / USB 4 – Apple marketing: Thunderbolt / USB 4 (They only support one external monitor which is out of spec for TB4.)

Bought it with the student discount. Highly recommend it. Got $100 off and a $150 gift card. So I got the 512GB model due to system updates always eating up 25% of my current mac storage, so got it for $1,299. M2 doesn’t need the extra ram since it is so fast and not pro. Happy with my purchase. Didn’t need an upgrade, but the intel one with my fan air would get toasty and fan would always spin. Im excited to try apple silicon

Thank you for being the only realistic tech YouTuber in regard to the M2 MBA! I watched all the reviews and had a really bad feeling buying the new Air but it’s amazing! Coming from an Intel Mac it’s better in every way AND has a faster SSD

Lisa you are and have always been the best real world use reviewer on YouTube. Ya those other guys are fun for the crazy benchmarks and comparisons and whatever but you are the only one that actually tells us what the computer is like for day to day use.

This whole controversy over the SSD speeds just has me irritated. Most reviewers don’t take into account that most people aren’t moving massive multi gig files everyday or exporting 4K pro res video. But they see those scores as THE end all be all benchmark. But I use excel, safari, word, and productivity apps. I don’t care about file transfer speeds or thermal throttling after your 4th benchmark test.
